    Give
    Back to Bowie!

    2008 Combined Federal Campaign

Every year the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC)
collects donations from thousands of federal workers
who give a percentage of their hard-earned money
    to their favorite local charity.

If you want to give to Civil Air Patrol this year to help us provide better opportunities for the youth in our community, provide effective emergency services and disaster relief services to our city, state, and nation, then please consider putting our CAP Charity number (#49613) on your pledge card!
100% of your donation goes to Bowie!
    Bowie has 0% overhead expenses!

Some agencies are allowing online donations. Be sure to use our registered charity number (#49613) and ask How To Contribute through the CFC at your government office TODAY!

    Celebrating Three Earhart Awards

Bowie Squadron congratulates its newest Cadet Captains: Cadets Joshua Williams and John Brennan.
The Group III Commander, Lt Col Wes LaPre, and Bowie Squadron Commander, Capt Jeff Welch, presented the teens with Earhart Awards during a ceremony on Thursday, July 31, 2008.
The full story by 2Lt Julie Holley, Bowie Public Affairs Officer, is here.

We also congratulation Cadet Captain Beau Bustanoby, Bowie's Cadet Cammander, for earning his Earhart Award in August! He has chosen to wait to receive his award until his mother has recovered from surgery so that she can be present for the award presentation. His mother, Theresa Bustanoby, gave the ultimate gift of life to a Bowie teen (a member of her church) who was in dire need of a kidney. We admire and honor her truly sacrificial gift to another.
Theresa Bustanoby exemplifies the true heart of the Aces of Hearts!
