    Information for New Cadet Recruits

Following are numerous resources to help cadets get started in CAP.

    Cadet Delayed Entry Program

The Bowie Composite Squadron has created a Delayed Entry Program which lays out what is required over your first few weeks with us. The Delayed Entry Program gives you an opportunity to check us out and prepares you for membership in CAP, getting you started down the right path toward completion of your first achievment and your first stripe on your shoulder.

    Your First CAP Meeting

We ask that at least one parent come along with the interested child to their first CAP meeting. We will take you both aside and give you an overview of our program and allow the parent to watch, and child to participate in on the activities taking place during the night of your first visit.

When and Where Do We Meet

We meet year round for our regular meetings each Thursday at Cresthill Baptist Church, 6510 Laurel-Bowie Road, Bowie MD 20715 from 7PM to 9PM. There is a link to our meeting agendas on our homepage. Any changes to location or meeting times will be noted on that agenda page, usually posted by Tuesday of each week.
Once the cadet has visited us for 3 weeks, we will discuss the membership application process.

IMPORTANT: Membership in CAP is NOT a right, it is a priviledge. Just as you may evaluate whether we are a good fit for you, we will access whether your membership will be a good fit for our squadron. Review each of the links below which should help you get started.
